Hello Melanie, we arrived back home tired but exhilarated from our adventure. Everything was near perfect.  I say “near” only because perfection is something to strive for but never actually achieve. We loved all the accommodations and the transfers and flights were on time. All the game sightings were at all the camps were great.  The elephant interactions at Stanley’s were wonderful. While we were very happy with all the camps and guides, we particularly enjoyed Nottens. Travel in the Time of Covid: who knew it could be so simple? A very special African tour operator, Pulse Africa took care of all the fine print for a memorable family trip to the Zambezi Valley in Zimbabwe. It was a drama in three acts, a bush camp on the lower Zambezi in Mana Pools National Park, a luxury houseboat on Lake Kariba where the river is famously backed up by Kariba dam into the manmade lake in the world, and finally a shoreline bush camp next to Matusadona National Park. Every step was fully organised, costed, confirmed and checked by the experts at Pulse. Covid threw up challenges but they met them all. Highly recommended.

I always use Pulse Africa (I’m London based) whenever I plan a Safari in Africa. I’ve never been disappointed and Sandy and her team had planned trips for us to Kenya, Botswana and South Africa in the past.
It was our first trip in a while in Africa and we needed expert advise on Namibia. Natasha organised our trip and she did an amazing job! After a call to understand what we were looking for, she put together the itinerary including some of her suggestions that proved to be spot on. The trip was super well organized, recommendations from Natasha were superb and despite the stress of the Covid-19 crisis happening at the same time, we had such a wonderful experience.

We decided to ask Pulse Africa to organize our holiday to South Africa over Christmas and New Year and were delighted with every aspect of the trip they put together for us. We felt that they really listened to us when we were explaining what sort of things we wanted to see and do on our trip and they came up with the most amazing experiences and places to stay that without their detailed knowledge we would never have had a hope of finding. What particularly impressed us was their advice to see South Africa on the ground rather than fly everywhere. This gave us the opportunity to really see this beautiful country for what it is. We found that using Pulse Africa saved us a huge amount of time in planning our trip and in fact saved us money too as they were no more expensive than had we booked everything direct ourselves. There is quite simply no benefit from booking a trip like this oneself as Pulse Africa’s experience and detailed knowledge of all our destinations was vital. I have heard that they do not book or recommend any hotel, lodge, camp etc if they have not visited it personally.

My wife and I have travelled a fair amount, sometimes on a budget and sometimes a little more luxurious. For our 50th Anniversary we wanted to make our first ever trip to Africa extra special. We asked experienced Africa travelers for travel agent recommendations and ended up going with Pulse Africa. They gave us a trip more special than we ever could have imagined!

Our travel agent, Melanie Lamont, put together a spectacular trip! We wouldn’t have changed a thing. We spent three weeks, starting in Johannesburg, then to Cape Town, then to three remote lodges in Victoria Falls, the Timbavati Private Reserve and the Sabi Sands Private Reserve. The sequence and timing of the destinations was perfect for getting a good feel for South Africa from its’ history to the current day. Every tour was comfortable and every guide was cheerful, informative and totally enjoyable. The hotels/lodges were all unique and wonderful. We left every one wishing we could stay longer.

Without exception, the service everywhere was exceptional and each of the lodges went out of their way to give us a special treat in recognition of our Anniversary.

We started planning this over two years ago, having to postpone it for a year due to COVID. From the beginning and through the rescheduling, updates and quick responses to our questions, Melanie was fabulous. She was upbeat and cheerful while working through the difficulties and uncertainties of the severe COVID lockdown in South Africa. The Pulse website and Melanie’s informative mailings gave us all the information we needed to make this an easy trip. All transfers were flawless, she reconfirmed our flights and had boarding passes for us each day we flew, and Pulse provided an App for our phone with all the important itinerary details. Pulse Africa and Melanie have been the best travel agency and agent that we have ever delt with.

We had a fabulous holiday!! It was truly amazing , with many, many wonderful memories. An unforgettable African adventure. We selected Pulse Africa as they were already highly recommended in an East African face book group that I am a member of and couldn’t have had a better experience planning the trip with them. In particular, our travel agent Melanie Lowe, was meticulous in coordinating and planning the trip. She worked with us on our itinerary and budget and came up with excellent accommodation suggestions to choose from for all the places we stayed at. She also put together suggested trips for our visit in Cape Town. While on vacation, we had to reach them during out of office hours and someone was readily available when we called. Our trip involved four internal flights and four different locations, so it was complex and it made much more sense to book the trip through an experienced agent. Would highly recommend Pulse Africa and use them again for any other African trips.
