Face to Face with a Primate | Visit a Chimp Sanctuary | Go Wild on the Nile
Face to Face With a Primate
The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is dense and wild. Hiking through the thicket is tough, but as your guide motions for you to halt and points to the rustling leaves ahead of you, there, larger than life, will be your reward. The adrenaline will rush through your veins and you will feel fairly insignificant as you watch these magnificent mountain gorillas going about their daily routine. A true once in a lifetime experience.
Visit a Chimp Sanctuary
Near the equator and close to Entebbe is Ngamba island, Uganda’s newest sanctuary for orphaned chimpanzees rescued from zoos and circuses. These curious primates are now free to roam the island and play in its tangled vines and towering trees.
Go Wild on the Nile
There is something magical about the Nile- the source of life for many great civilisations throughout the ages. The Nile offers superb game fishing and is also home to some of the world’s best grade five rapids for white water rafting enthusiasts.
