Safari
About
There is nothing quite as exhilarating as watching a pride of feeding lion from an open-air Landrover, or tracking a herd of elephant on foot. A safari in Africa will awaken all of your senses and leave you longing for more. It’s not always about spotting the ‘Big 5’ animals, but also about taking in the little things, such as learning about the insects and the trees- the lesser known items that often get overlooked. Africa has so much to offer on a safari. Let us show you.
Safaris
Did you know that the word “safari” actually means journey in Swahili? The word is synonymous with Africa and is the number one reason tourists visit our shores. Close-up encounters with the “Big 5” wildlife animals will be an unforgettable experience. We’d recommend visiting the Kruger National Park in South Africa, the Masai Mara in Kenya, the Serengeti in Tanzania or Etosha in Namibia, among other ideal safari destinations.
Night Safaris
Night safari drives provide for some of the most dramatic sightings, from hunting predators to viewing a kill. But night drives are also an opportunity to see animals that are not often seen during the daytime such as porcupines, civets and nocturnal birds. There is also something primal in stopping somewhere in the bush, switching off the motor and listening to the night whilst contemplating the stars of the African night.
Photographic Safaris
Embark on a magical photographic holiday in Africa. With a kaleidoscope of unique wildlife, diverse cultures, incredible landscapes and world-famous national parks, Africa will leave you with images you’ll treasure forever.
While an unforgettable photo opportunity waits around almost every corner in Africa, the Serengeti, Masai Mara, Sabi Sands and the Okavango Delta are our top photo safari picks. Boasting views that have to be seen to be believed and big game viewing aplenty, you’ll return home with more great snaps than you will know what to do with.
Ornithological Safaris
Africa is the go-to destination for birders. Flock to mainland Africa and you can spot some 2250 different bird species, 1500 of which aren’t found anywhere else in the world.
Walking Safaris
Take a walk on the wild side and meet wildlife on their terms. Leave the hustle of daily life far behind and tune into the bush; its sights, sounds and smells. Walking safaris in Africa were the original safari experience. Today, they still offer one of the most enjoyable ways to experience the majesty of Africa.
