Adventure
About
If ever there was a continent that screamed adventure, then Africa would be it. Climb mountains, go white water rafting, deep-sea fishing, shark-cage diving, gorilla trekking, bungi jumping, canoeing in the Okavango Delta or jump on a camel for a unique safari experience in Northern Kenya. If you’re chasing that next big adventure, then give Africa a try.
Mountain Climbing
Are you looking to truly soak up Africa’s breathtaking scenery? And keen on adventure? Then there’s only one place to be: at the top of a mountain.
Africa brims with mountain climbing adventures. Make the journey up the snow-capped peaks of Kilimanjaro or marvel at the endless views of the Atlas Mountains, dotted with age-old Berber villages. Or lace up those hiking boots and trek up the lesser-known Mount Kenya, Kili’s little ‘sister’ and Africa’s second highest peak. For a more gentle hiking experience, South Africa’s Drakensberg Mountains are ideal.
These natural rooftops of Africa offer experiences not soon forgotten. There are a host of mountain climbs, suited to all travellers, from staunch mountaineers to relaxed weekend warriors.
Canoeing
Take to the waters for a canoeing adventure in Africa. Adventure seekers can get up close and personal with awe-inspiring wildlife on several of the continent’s greatest rivers and lakes. Choose from the mighty Zambezi River, Selinda Spillway, the Okavanga Delta and the vast Lake Malawi.
White Water Rafting
If you’re seeking the thrill and excitement of an adrenaline-packed white water rafting trip, then Africa is the place for you! If you want exciting but not too rough waters, then the Orange River in South Africa would suit you. Alternatively, the rapids on the Zambezi River, under Victoria Falls in Zambia provide a beautiful and challenging rafting corridor. The fierce waters of the Nile-accessed from Uganda, or the Omo River in Ethiopia both offer challenging waters along with abundant wildlife, excellent bird sightings and spectacular scenery.
Hot Air Ballooning
Embark on a more graceful adventure on a hot air ballooning safari. Rise above Africa’s vast plains for a bird’s eye view of the diverse landscapes, wildlife and people metres below. An unusual chance to hear the sounds of Africa as you float above in silence.
Riding
Whether you’re looking to ride a bike, Harley Davidson, horse or camel, Africa offers it all.
Go on a camel safari in northern Kenya or sit on the back of a Harley Davidson and take in the magnificent coastal scenes of the southernmost tip of Africa. Whatever your style, we can match it.
